Thank you for choosing Shaded Shields Window Tinting! We stand behind the quality of our product and workmanship,  and want to ensure your satisfaction. Please read the specifics of the warranty bellow.

1. Limited Lifetime Warranty

Shaded Shields offers a limited lifetime warranty on all of our products. This warranty covers manufacturing defects and workmanship errors for the life of the vehicle on which, by Shaded Shields Window Tinting, it has been installed. Though, limited to you (the purchaser of window tint) still owning the vehicle at the time of a warranty claim.  

2. What Is Covered:  

• Discoloration
• Peeling
• Adhesive failure
• Cracking
• Delamination
• Oxidation
• Film Corrosion 
• Bubbling

3. What Is Not Covered:

• Misuse, abuse, or improper maintenance
• Accidents or external factors such as scratches occurring from any object outside of Shaded Shields' premises
• Fire, flood, or other natural disasters
• Unauthorized repairs or modifications
• Any damage caused by people, animals, or objects, occurring outside of the premises of Shaded Shields Window Tinting.

4. How to File a Warranty Claim

If you believe your product is eligible for a warranty claim, please follow these steps:

Contact our customer support team at info@shadedshields.com, or call (618) 688-7000.

Then, provide proof of purchase (order confirmation, receipt, or invoice), describe the issue in detail and, if possible, include photographs.

5. Resolution Process

Once we receive your warranty claim, we will assess the issue and respond within three business days, and, contingent upon the above criteria being met, will work with you in scheduling a time to correct the issue at no cost to you.

Shaded Shield provides a Limited Commercial Window Film Warranty covering professionally installed window film products. Warranty terms range from 10 to 15 years, depending on the film type selected and the type of structure in which the film is installed (Commercial or Residential). 

What the Warranty Covers

This warranty covers defects that materially impair the performance of the window film under normal conditions, including:

• Bubbling
• Peeling
• Film (tint) Induced Cracking
• Delamination
• Adhesive failure
• Discoloration beyond normal, industry-accepted limits

Coverage applies only when the film is installed by Shaded Shield and used in accordance with manufacturer specifications and film-to-glass chart.

Warranty Term:

• 10–15 years from the original installation date
• Term length is determined by:
  • Specific film series installed
  • Building classification (Commercial/Residential)
  • Glass type and orientation

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

This limited warranty does not cover:

• Glass breakage or seal failure when film is installed in accordance with the manufactures guidelines 
• Pre-existing glass defects
• Improper glass composition or installation
• Damage caused by:
  • Construction activities
  • Abrasives or improper cleaning
  • Acts of God (hail, fire, flood, wind, etc.)
  • Structural movement or building settling
• Changes in appearance caused by normal aging
• Labor costs incurred when replacement work is performed by any company other than Shaded Shields, or by a third party without prior written approval from Shaded Shields. 

Remedy and Liability Limitation

Transferability:

This warranty is non-transferable unless otherwise stated in writing and approved by the film manufacturer.

Manufacturer Reference:All films installed by Shaded Shield are backed by manufacturer warranties consistent with the  manufacturer’s  commercial warranty standards. Manufacturer terms may apply in addition to this limited warranty and may supersede portions where required.

Warranty Claims

To initiate a warranty claim:

1. Contact Shaded Shield with proof of installation
2. Allow inspection of the affected area. Shades Shields will need to inspect the damage to determine the cause of failure. Failure to allow inspection will result in a claim denial.
3. Claims must be reported within 30 days after defect discovery
